n8n: Visual Workflow Pipelines

When Huginn Shines
Don’t count Huginn out, though. It excels in specific scenarios:
Long-Running Monitors
Huginn’s agent model is perfect for “set it and forget it” monitoring tasks. Each agent has its own schedule, memory, and error handling. You can have dozens of independent watchers running simultaneously — a website price monitor, a weather alert agent, a Twitter keyword tracker, an RSS feed aggregator — all without worrying about workflow complexity.
Data Pipelines with Complex Routing
Because Huginn agents emit events to each other, you can build sophisticated routing where one agent’s output fans out to multiple downstream agents based on conditions. This event-driven model is natural for scenarios where data arrives asynchronously from different sources.

This is where n8n pulls far ahead. n8n has native nodes for:

Solo Founder or Freelancer (1-5 people)
Choose n8n. The visual editor means you can build workflows without writing code. The lightweight deployment works on a $5/month VPS. And if you ever want to add AI capabilities, the Ollama integration is plug-and-play.
